One year later, fundamental questions remain to be clarified: access to information, concrete support for victims and their families, the determination of responsibilities and the impasse surrounding compensation.
As Nuno Pinto Coelho de Faria highlighted, we are facing a“singular collective tragedy”, which cannot be analyzed according to the parameters of a common accident.
In your intervention, also highlighted the rigor with which the Public Ministry has conducted the criminal investigation, alerting, however, to the need for an equally effective response in the other dimensions of the process and in protecting the rights of victims and their families.
In a process of this size and sensitivity, looking for answers is also looking for justice.
